2. Personal data we use
For UK business-to-business outreach and related records we typically hold:
- name
- role or job title
- work email address
- firm or organisation name
- the source of the data (for example, the public page or register we found it on)
We may also hold a work telephone number, a firm website address, and a short note of why the firm is relevant, where that information is available.
If you write to contact@jdfortress.com, we process the content of that enquiry and any contact details you include. There is no web contact form on this site; contact is by email or telephone.
We also process staff login credentials for our internal dashboard (email address, name, role, a hashed password, and session data). That dashboard is for our own staff. It is not a public account service.
3. Where the data comes from
We obtain personal data from:
- publicly available professional sources, including firm websites, Companies House, professional and legal directories, publicly available professional networking profiles, and news
- information people give us, including emails, telephone calls, and referrals
We do not buy marketed lists from named data brokers for this site.
4. Why we use the data and our lawful basis
We use this data to introduce our on-premises and air-gapped AI services to relevant UK professional firms, to keep a record of that contact, and to handle enquiries. For staff, we use login data so authorised people can access the internal dashboard.
The UK GDPR lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f): our interest in contacting relevant corporate professionals about a B2B service, and in responding to people who contact us. We do not rely on consent for outbound email.
For the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we send electronic mail to corporate subscribers — work email addresses at UK limited companies and LLPs, including law firms — to market our B2B on-premises and air-gapped AI. We identify ourselves in those messages and offer an opt-out.
5. How to object or unsubscribe
You can object to marketing, or ask us to stop using your data for that purpose, at any time. You can:

- write to us at the registered office above
When you do, we will suppress your details and stop marketing to you.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data.
We share data only with processors who act for us under contract, as needed to run this website and keep our records:
- Vercel — hosts this website
- Neon — hosts the database used by our internal dashboard, including staff accounts and prospect or enquiry records we keep there
This website does not send outbound marketing email itself. Contact from the public site is by mailto to our own inbox. We have not named any other email-delivery vendor because none is configured in this website.
7. How long we keep data
Prospect records are kept for 24 months from the last meaningful contact, unless you object sooner.
We keep a suppression list for longer so that we do not email you again after you have opted out.
Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to handle the request and any follow-up. Staff account and session records are kept while the account is active and for a short period afterwards as needed for security and administration.
8. Cookies
The public website does not use marketing, advertising, or analytics cookies. We found no Google Analytics, gtag, Plausible, or advertising pixel in this site.
If a member of staff signs in to the internal dashboard, we set an essential session cookie named jdf_session. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and lasts up to 30 days. It is used only to keep that person signed in. Visitors who never sign in do not receive it.
Because we do not use non-essential cookies on the public site, we do not show a cookie banner.
9. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- rectify inaccurate data
- erase data, in the circumstances the law allows
- restrict how we use data
- object to processing, including for direct marketing (we will always stop marketing if you object)
- receive data in a portable form, where that right applies
